Classes Offered at EveryBody Fits
Agility and conditioning are a part of every class.  Children are not born coordinated; it is a learned trait just as walking
and talking.  It is important for children to master balance and coordination by the age of 5 or they may have difficulty
reaching their full potential to do so.  With Play For Sport children will work on balance, proper running form, and agility
in every class.  They will also learn about their muscles and how they help them accomplish the many skills they will be
learning.  Importance is placed upon nutrition, conditioning, and an active lifestyle as part of weekly discussions during
warm up and cool down periods.

As your child progresses with mental focus and physical abilities, they will move up to more advanced classes so they
may continue to enhance and master their sports skills and increase their overall knowledge of the various sports and
rules of the games.

Class Descriptions

Jumpin’ Joeys
This is a parent child class for children ages 20 months to 35 months.  In this class children will be introduced to basic
sports skills such as throwing, catching, and running while also working on balance, coordination and mental focus.
Classes are designed to engage the young mind by utilizing imaginative games while working on various skills.  Parents
also learn vital tools to work with their children at home and how to keep learning these skills fun!

Training Camp
Cougars (3-4yrs) and Lions (4-5yrs) – This sports class is designed for preschoolers with little to no exposure to
organized sports play.  Children will learn skills for sports such as t-ball, soccer, basketball, football, hockey, and more!
Equal attention is given to teaching sportsmanship and how to be a productive member of a sports team.  A different
sport is taught each week on a 5 week rotation.  Preschool children enjoy the variety and are able to carry skills learned
from one sport to another.  Once basic skills are mastered and your child is able focus and follow directions in class
they will move up to the “Starters” class.

Starters
Seahawks (3-4yrs)/Stingrays (4-5 yrs) – This sports class is designed for preschoolers that are comfortable handling
sports equipment, can follow directions and execute or attempt drills without getting frustrated, and works well with
teammates.  Players are introduced to more rules and terms of each game while continuing improvement of overall
skills.  Once basic skills are mastered and they have a general understanding of each sport they will advance to the
AllStars Class.

AllStars
Classes designed for children that have mastered basic drills and need specific focus on techniques and rules and flow
of the games.  Friendly competition is introduced and explained to prepare your child to become a member of an
organized team.  There are no winners or losers in AllStars just as there are not in organized sports at this age.
Competition is addressed as simply an introduction of accomplishing goals as a means to score or to keep from being
scored upon while on the field.

HomeSchoolers
Play For Sport offers classes for homeschool children by age group.  This class serves as an overall physical education
class while incorporating sports play and games.  Work with your Play For Sport coach to tailor this class to meet your
homeschool groups’ needs.

Titans
Our Titans class is designed for school aged children that are just beginning to show an interest in sports and need a
non-competitive environment to learn the skills they need to have confidence in joining a team.  Or for children that are
not interested in playing organized sports but enjoy being active and joining in organized physical activities.  Master
physical skills, gain confidence, and build relationships in this upbeat, fast paced, exciting class where every child is a
winner!

Advanced
Advanced classes are offered in Baseball, Soccer, and Basketball to focus on sport specific skills, game knowledge and
strategy.  These classes are led by coaches with an extensive background in their sport and experience teaching and
coaching their sport.  Classes address all areas of the game, however, private lessons to focus on specific skills or
positions can be arranged.
